Hello, I'm Isadora K.
Hello! My name is Isadora, a 27-year-old bilingual French and English speaker living in Berlin. With over 7 years of experience as a language tutor in both French and English, I have helped children and young learners gain confidence and develop their language skills through fun, engaging, and interactive lessons. In addition to tutoring, I have extensive experience caring for children of different ages, fostering a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and feel supported. My time working with families has taught me to be adaptable, patient, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. Whether you’re looking for a language-focused babysitter or someone reliable to care for your little ones, I’d be happy to help. I look forward to connecting with your family and creating positive memories together!
My Family
I come from a multicultural family, and growing up, I lived in both France and England, experiencing the richness of different cultures firsthand. As the youngest of four siblings, I grew up in a dynamic and lively environment where teamwork, adaptability, and creativity were essential parts of everyday life. My upbringing taught me the value of communication, empathy, and responsibility—skills that have been invaluable when working with children.
My Favourite Memory
One of my favorite memories is helping cook for our large family gatherings, where I would assist in preparing meals and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. These experiences instilled in me the importance of connection, hospitality, and nurturing those around me—qualities I bring into my work with children.
My Education
I have firsthand experience in both the French and English educational systems, having studied in both environments before completing my degree in Anthropology at Durham University. While I appreciated aspects of both systems, I found myself more receptive to the encouraging and supportive teaching approach I experienced in England compared to the often penalising nature of the French system. This experience deeply shaped my teaching philosophy—I strive to create an environment where students feel motivated, confident, and inspired, much like my English teachers once did for me.
My Interests
I have a deep love for nature and enjoy staying active through physical activities like yoga and tennis, which help me stay balanced and energised. When I’m not outdoors, I love to immerse myself in reading, journaling, and creative projects like making collages or painting. Engaging in these creative activities allows me to explore self-expression and imagination, which I also bring into my interactions with children—encouraging them to think creatively and express themselves freely.
My Motivation
I created this profile on Oogo to connect with families and find meaningful job opportunities that allow me to support myself as I continue pursuing my entrepreneurial endeavors. Working with children has always been a rewarding experience, and combining this with flexible opportunities on Oogo enables me to grow personally and professionally while making a positive impact on the families I work with.
