Job Description
Flexible availability for childcare to cover occasional overnight stays, evenings and weekends
Our Family Routine
I am a stay at home mum and we have a childminder working until 7pm on weekdays. We drop the children to school in the mornings and between me and our childminder we collect them and bring them to their various afterschool activities. All of the schools are within easy walking distance of home. The children eat together at 5.30/6pm each day. Weekends are busy with sports and activities.
Our Home Environment
We have a large back garden with lots of bicycles and outdoor games and a dedicated playroom with many toys. The older children use the garage at the end of the garden and another TV room in the house to play video games etc. The two older boys (aged 12 and 10) share a bedroom and the other children have their own rooms with toys of their own.
Our Expectations
We would like to find someone who gets on well with the children and has plenty of energy to play with the younger children and to engage with the older ones. Someone responsible who would feel capable and confident in getting the children to and from school (when staying overnight) and preparing meals and be a good communicator with us and our weekday childminder where there is any changeover or need to work together. She is responsible for housekeeping during the week so if staying overnight or at weekends we would like our minder to be able to do some light housework
Qualifications and Experience
Experience working with larger numbers of children of different ages.
Our Budget
We are happy to pay going rates with overnights to be negotiated and agreed in advance.
Additional Information
We do not have any specific needs. The children are able to do their homework (with some supervision). Our youngest is 3 years old and needs some help in putting his clothes on in the morning
