Hello, I'm Ella O.
Hi my name is Ella! I am a 22 year old recent university graduate with plenty of prior child minding experience. Experience: I was a child minder in New York City last summer minding an eight year old girl. I was a cinnire (youth leader) at Colaiste Uisce, looking after 12 girls away from home for 2 weeks completely through the Irish language. I have babysat on many other occasions for children age 2-12. Im highly creative, very social and completed my undergraduate dissertation in children’s literature so love reading as well. I’m also experienced dealing with allergies.
My Family
I am the eldest with one younger brother and plenty of cousins.
My Education
I have a bachelors degree in English Literature and Art History from Trinity College Dublin. Previously I completed my leaving cert at St. Andrews College.
My Interests
I have a broad range of interests including art, photography, reading, writing, music and sports. I played contact rugby competitively for ten years and love to stay active.
My Motivation
In primary school I spent a lot of time attending an afterschool program where I ended up helping the younger kids with their homework, braiding their hair, running art sessions for them and ultimately learning a lot about child care. I am extremely social and through my university studies specialising in children’s literature have learnt a huge amount about child development and how important it is.
