Dear Family
I hope you are well! Just as a quick intro, my name is Rhianne and I am a health science graduate with a degree in Clinical Speech and Language therapy. I grew up in Ireland and have been living in London for the last 2.5 years. My favourite pastimes are swimming, reading and cooking. I have worked in healthcare and childcare on and off for almost 10 years. I am passionate about providing care and about creating an environment which enables learning. I love life and trying new things, I have just taken up running and I am finding it difficult but I enjoy the challenge! Throughout the final year of my degree I worked with Oogo and was a nanny bi-weekly for the most amazing family. I then relocated to London to explore a career in Marketing. After a 2.5 year hiatus I am looking to return to the world of childcare, as it is my passion.
My Experience
I have worked previously with a family through Oogo where I maintained a complete schedule for two children under 9 years old. This involved coordinating with parents for play dates, sports practices, music recitals, parent-teacher conferences, and other important meetings. Further duties included assisting the children with their homework, school projects, reading assignments, and studying after school. Performed light housekeeping and errand duties such as dusting, washing dishes, and doing the weekly grocery shop. I have worked as a healthcare assistant. Roles involved looking after patients and tending to their daily needs. Delegating and organising tasks with fellow multidisciplinary team members effectively and creating an internal communication system for Handover between employees and volunteers. Generating new and engaging tasks day to day to encourage patient engagement and for quality of life and entertainment purposes.
