Googling into the early hours and disappearing down rabbit holes of over information trying to navigate the one job that is all consuming and getting harder by the generation. We asked parents what was keeping them up at night and then we curated a Series of Summer Sessions with experts on each topic hosted live on öogo Interactive. Session 1: Sleep Training with Ursula, Professional Sleep Consultants and Mothers Wednesday 18th June, 15-15.30 PM Sleep deprivation is a recognised form of torture and yet parents are expected to operate ferociously busy lives often on prolonged periods of reduced sleep. Learning that there is help out there is the first step to building healthy sleep habits for the whole family. In conversation with Claire Carroll, Ursula Quinn discusses the different approaches to sleep training, where to find help and how to structure the best help according to your situation and values. Session 2: Fussy Eating with Niamh Landy, Paediatric Dietician at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. Thursday 19th June, 15-15.30 PM Niamh is all too aware how distressing it can be for parents facing fussy eaters. Ensuring growing bodies get adequate vitamins and nutrients is central to development and emotional regulation so for parents who are already struggling, there will be a practical tool kit around how to build healthy eating habits. For those unsure of how serious things might get, there will information on where to go for help and how to navigate the system. Session 3: Maternal Mental Health with Dr Cat Hynds, Perinatal Psychiatrist at Holles Street NMH Wednesday 16th July, 15-15.30 PM New mothers often suffer in silence which can have devastating effects if undetected. Cat says she studied at one of the best universities in the world so she would not have to prescribe medication unless it was absolutely necessary. Rather Dr Cat has trained in a form of video therapy focused on building connections and confidence and reversing negative narratives. Listen to how this approach can transform the early stages of motherhood for those struggling and learn how to see help for yourself or a loved one if worrying signs are accumulating. Session 4: DeClutter your Home with Jennie Levins, Mum of 5 and Founder of Uncluttered.ie Thursday 24rd July, 15-15:30 PM We all have a cupboard or room in our home that has long since been surrendered to 'The Clutter'. It's hard enough prioritising regular spring cleans in busy households with parents juggling jobs and family. Jennie offers a candid look at how to tackle the clutter and stop future creep. Her humorous and humane approach to something so mundane is a much needed tonic for most households.
