Dear Family
My name is Gema Vargas, i’m from Spain! I have 25 years old. I have taken care of children in several summers, aged between 2 and 6. Also, I am the oldest in a large family, so I have also taken care of my cousins of various ages for many years! I like working with children for all the love, love and values that I believe, that I can bring to you! Currently, I have been in Ireland since September 2023. I am looking for families for extra babysittings. The family I live with is wonderful, I couldn't have asked for a better family to live this experience with, so if you need references from me please ask for them. My hobbies range from reading, cinema, art, music... the whole cultural world. I love spending time with my friends, playing board games or going out for a drink! I am a very familiar person, I love spending time with them, going out to eat, travelling... The activities that I like the most with children are painting, puzzles, classic games, teaching games... to help in the upbringing of the child
My Favourite Memory
I am a person who loves going out, meeting new people and being surrounded by my family. My favourite moments have been when I have been living abroad and have returned to my city to meet up with my friends and family. I also love music, so one of my hobbies is going to concerts! On the other hand, I love travelling, getting to know new cultures and meeting people from different countries.
My Experience
I have been an aupair for 1 year, with a 1.5 year old girl. Also, have taken care of children in several summers, aged between 2 and 6. My Education
I have a university degree in audiovisual communication (a mixture of film, journalism, marketing, advertising and public relations). I have experience as a radio announcer, communication and advertising in a theatre and as a journalist in a large communication agency. My dream is to be able to work in the entertainment or music industry. That's why I decided to come to Ireland, to improve my English and to look for better job opportunities.
My Family
My family is basic, consisting of my father, my mother and my older sister. I am very close to my mother's family, as my mother has many sisters and therefore we are many cousins. Unfortunately, I only have one grandmother left alive, but even so, I always have my grandparents very much in mind.
My Motivation
I am currently looking for families for extra babysittings to make a bit more money and to meet more people who can offer me more cultural immersion in my experience here. And because I love children!
My Interests
In my free time I like to read, go for walks with my music, watch series or movies, go out with my friends to party or visit nearby cities.
