Dear Family
Hi families, I am Brazilian, 34 years old and I came to Dublin to study. I am currently a student (English) and work a few hours per week. I live in Drumcondra and I have a lot experience with kids. I worked in a crèche (D15) with babies and others ages, before which I worked as a teacher (volunteer in the church) for four years in Brazil. I am looking for new opportunities, mostly on my holidays, because I can work full time (July).
My Favourite Memory
The best memory I have is when I took care of a 3-year-old boy with autism, he couldn't speak and had tantrums. I always sat on the floor with him and talked, taught him how to ask (speak) and played a lot, I filmed it and sent it to his mother to see his development. Children need to feel that you pay attention to them and enter their imagination
My Experience
I have worked with kids for five years. I worked in crèche in Dublin, as a minder for children with special needs in Brazil, and as a teacher in a Church in Brazil. I am now working as a minder in Monkstown. I took care of two babies in Dublin (2 months and 11 months).
My Education
I have a degree, MBA, Specialisation and courses. I've already finished a course about children, First Children and I am doing others. I have plans to do a specific course (QQI Level 5).
My Family
I am single, but I have a big family. Unfortunately my dad passed away for 11y, and my mom has 75y and I have 7 siblings (1 girl and 6 boys). I was born a small (countryside) city in north Brazil (Cruzeiro do Sul/Acre) but I lived for 20y in Manaus (Capital Amazon). I had started live alone in Manaus when I had 19y.
My Motivation
I have decided I want to stay in Ireland, but my time as a student is short. During this time I need to prepare myself to get a work visa so that I can reside in the country for longer. I have one year and two months more as a student and in that time I can work as a minder or in a crèche.
My Interests
In my free times I've visited lots of new places around Dublin - Ireland is so beautiful. I like reading books, travelling and meeting new people. Irish people are lovely.
