Dear Family
My name is Patricia, I am 28 years old, I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, but when I was a teenager I moved to the Northeast of Brazil. I am a very creative, honest, responsible and flexible person. I feel very comfortable around kids. I connected more with kids after my aupair program in the US, where I was taking care of 3 kids in my first year (2, 5 and 6) and 3 girls in my second year (5,7 and 9). I have a part of my heart in Kansas and the other part in Virginia. After this amazing experience I went to Germany as an aupair for 1.5 years and took care of my best friend (Levi - 1yo). My first language is Portuguese, I am fluent in English (courses taken in the US + 2 years of living in the US), I have basic Spanish and German.in the US + 2 years of living in the US), I have basic Spanish and German.
Experience
I took care of some kids in Brazil, but my main experience is certainly the aupair program. In US I was an aupair during Covid and had to homeschool the kids for the end of the school year, was a big challenge but now I can see how important it was. In Germany I taught Portuguese to my host kids and his mom, it was amazing and unique. I also taught my host kids in Kansas how to swim, I learned how to swim really young and have competed a couple times, so we used our quarantine time to learn new things.
